AUV62-AT, TARGET SIMULATION FOR REALISTIC ASW TRAINING
THE FIRST CHOICE FOR ASW OPERATOR TRAINING
AUV62-AT has proven to be a highly suitable tool for ASW training and simulation applications.
Programmable to resemble different targets
The AUV62-AT vehicle can be easily configured as an Artificial Target using a Payload Module with a Noise Transmitter and an Echo Transponder. It is therefore used to resemble a true Submarine for operator training, as well as onboard ASW sonar and command system check-up.
In the standard configuration, an omnidirectional hydrophone replaces the forward-looking sonar (FLS) in the base module, while the payload consists of a transducer section and a towed transducer tail. A shortened version is also available where the antenna mast, as well as the ballast tanks and transducer tail, are removed for easier handling.
Mission plan
The AUV62-AT can follow pre-programmed routes or be navigated online by the operator using radio communication or just the underwater acoustic link. The operator can therefore not only change the speed, depth and course of the vehicle, but also alter the acoustic performance or select another pre programmed route.
The AUV62-AT can operate in several different modes to comply with the desired training conditions.
Save your time and assets for the important things
Ramp-up, recovery and turn-around times are shortened dramatically with AUV62-AT.
